The 5 Elements Facial Oil by Redmint comes in the most beautiful packaging and certainly looks the part when it comes to high-end skin care. The formulation promises to moisturise dry skin, restore firmness and reduce discolouration for a brighter and more healthy appearance and for the most part, the oil delivers on its promises. As the oil contains some beautiful ingredients, over 15 to be exact, I thought my skin would reap several benefits of the natural oils and extracts yet unfortunately it didn’t perform as well as I anticipated. For me, it certainly left my dry skin deeply nourished, eradicating dry areas and keeping flaky skin at bay but this is the only benefit I experienced, even after several weeks of use. I also feel the beautiful aromas of the ingredients were lost a little as the oil was quite overpowering with a spiced aroma that wasn’t to my personal taste. I wish I could be more positive about my experience, as I really wanted to love this one, but despite giving my skin a moisturising treat, it unfortunately didn’t give me the great results I was hoping for.
The Redmint Five Elements Ageless Facial Oil is a great choice for those who want a light, fast-absorbing oil that helps brighten and tighten aging skin. The naturally sweet scent whisks you away into a state of deep relaxation. Even though the oil absorbs fast, it helps keeps the skin moisturized long after. My skin feels really soft after each use. The formula contains Limonene, which can be a bit irritating. I have moderately sensitive/reactive skin and found myself a little red and irritated afterward. It was not enough to discontinue use, however. Because I have an ultra pale complexion I can't speak to the brightening/discoloration claims. Overall, it’s a quality oil that’s well made, leaves the skin moisturized and soft, and contains amazing ingredients such as jojoba, argan, and peony root that are harvested intentionally. I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't have sensitive skin.
This oil claims to clarify, rejuvenate, regenerate, balance as well as nourish and I can confidently say it does all of that! I love the pump bottle that is easy to use and the packaging is stunning!
