When it comes to aging gracefully and exposing the not-so-awesome and best of the best in the beauty world, Olga Avezbakiev is your girl. As one of 146 Clean Beauty Award Judges, she was excited to share her beauty expertise with her followers and all of the international clean beauty addicts following the award results. Her content @this_fashion_is_mine focuses on aging gracefully, self-care and self-love. She covers products across makeup, skincare and hair care and reviews, promotes and critiques beauty brands, products and treatments on the regular. Her contribution to the Clean Beauty Awards helped to rank the best of the Face Masks category.
The overall ranking system of the Clean Beauty Awards is a systematic scoring method based on a product’s efficacy and performance based on skin type and skin needs which means that personal preference and brand values are not always reflected in the final results. We took this opportunity to ask Olga to choose her top three favourite products not just based on product performance but also based on her personal connection to the brand ethos, values and packaging. This is why an individual’s fave products in a particular category may not reflect the final Clean Beauty Award winners.
With her combination, aging skin, Olga is always on the hunt for the best products that suit her skin type and active lifestyle. She helped to judge the Clean Beauty Awards by focusing on face masks. She tested different masks and selected her top three to share with us here.
Favourite Face Mask #1: Honey Cleanser & Mask by Ryes & Shine Co.
The rich feel and calming scent of Ryes & Shine's 2-in-1 Honey Cleanser & Mask make this the perfect addition to your routine. It is a thick yet fluid mask that gently draws impurities, restores moisture and doubles as a creamy cleanser that rinses easily without stripping your skin.
Olga has a new mask as part of her regular skincare routine, and Honey Cleanser & Mask by Ryes & Shine is it!
"This 2-in-1 Honey Clay Mask is the perfect addition to my skincare routine because of its rich texture, clean rinse, and calming scent. The texture is thick yet fluid and spreads easily. It gently removes impurities and replenishes moisture. I love that this mask can be used as a creamy cleanser in addition to a mask to rinse out any impurities without stripping the skin’s natural barrier. Every time I used this mask, I just loved how my skin looked and felt, clean and hydrated. The Best!”
Favourite Face Mask #2: Honey Cream Mask with Active Manuka by Qēt Botanicals
This is a lovely, purifying mask with a high level of antioxidants, antibacterial agents and anti-inflammatory benefits with Vitamins A, B, E, amino acids, and many other skin-loving minerals. It's the perfect balance of natural nutrients to maintain perfect skin or heal and refresh skin needing pampering and enrichment. It sweetly pulls out hidden impurities, balances and improves uneven or uncomfortable skin.
Olga’s second pick, another honey mask, offered glowing results:
“This all-natural Honey Cream Manuka mask is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and amino acids. The mask's texture is incredible, it's easily spreadable, and it smells so good that I want to eat it. I used this mask many times, and each time, it left my skin soft and glowing.”
Favourite Face Mask #3: Pearl Brightening Facial Treatment Mask by Redmint
A harmonizing blend of pearl powder and vitamin C is a gentle exfoliant and refining treatment to slough away dull skin cells and reveal a brighter, more luminous complexion.
Goji Berry enhances absorption to improve clarity, balance and radiance, restoring a revitalized, newfound freshness and youthful vitality to the skin. Rare and precious, pearls were first used in skincare rituals by the only female empress of China, Wu Zetian, renowned for her intelligence and flawless complexion. Perfect for all skin types.
Olga’s third favourite mask surpassed her expectations:
“I have tried many sheet masks, and this one is one of the softest ones I have tried. Each mask has a pleasant scent and is infused with mineral-rich rice and lotus flower water, a rich source of vitamins E, B, C, Omega-9, and fatty acids, as well as innovative liposome technology, which boosts absorption for the best results. The mask fit well and felt very good on my face. Afterwards, it left my skin incredibly soft and hydrated.”
