Ivadore was created using those foundations, and is an all-Australian made brand, with a true healthful purpose for both body and earth.
They felt that in the market, the hard work in improving skin health was still expected to be carried out by the consumer, with brands pushing extensive and expensive regimes that often included a lot of fillers, low-level fancy or trending ingredients, and irritating synthetic ingredients and fragrances.
More often than not, they find consumers don’t know where to start when it comes to skincare or they have lack-lustre experiences with the products they are using, this drove them to create a range that was carefully considered to tackle long-term skin health in an effective, easy to achieve way in conjunction with reducing the negative impact products have on themselves and the earth by being as natural and sustainable as possible.
It was very clear early on for us that there was a communication gap and/or misunderstandings around the effectiveness of natural skincare. There were two key findings; the first was consumers believed that products made specifically for sensitive skin implied that they were natural and the second was that natural skincare was perceived to be less effective.
This meant that people were often getting no results or irritating their skin thinking they were doing the best for it without knowing that the products they were using were doing more damage than good. Widening accessibility and understanding on all levels to overcome these things was really important for us, therefore the challenge arose in formulating the absolute best natural product, full of goodness, that could provide results daily and long term without irritation or disruption of PH levels.
We wanted to re-educate consumers and give them the confidence in using natural products to the point where their values re-align to be more considerate in what products they are using and how they are using them.
What sets us apart is how mindful we are. Every single aspect of what we do is considered, and this goes throughout our entire supply chain and business foundations. Sustainability and efficacy are two of the leading drivers for our decision-making.
We often joke internally that we are trying to get people to use less. It might not be good for business, but that is what we believe, we want people to stop over-consuming and this is why our formulas and dispensing mechanism play such an important role.
Global consumption is one of the leading factors in environmental degradation, and brands and businesses have a huge responsibility in improving their intent to counter this. We are not the type of brand that claims to be environmentally friendly and then produces a suite of glittery new products at Christmas to drive sales, that type of brand is completely irresponsible.
Our packaging is 100% recyclable and uses airless bottles, natural products are prone to oxidise more quickly so we spent a lot of time developing and testing the airless packaging to keep the product clean and fresh, as well as having a precision dose to eliminate wastage.
For the customer, there is no guesswork in how much to use. Most of our products are dispensed for daily use with one or two pumps. It’s so easy. When it comes to our formulas, a huge amount of effort goes into researching the right natural ingredients for the job, the way we formulate is to look at the outcome first and then select the ingredients that will best fit the profile.
We always use industry-standard effective percentages and this does not always mean loading them up to the highest level or adding more of them to look and sound fancier. Formulating our products is an art form, and nothing is added for the sake of it.
While we love every single one of our products, our consumers have made it clear that our Ivadore Nourish Me Self Tanner and Face Tanner is our hero product. It perfectly epitomises our focus on each product having a healthful purpose, providing a golden glow with a skin treatment.
This combination is really important as another aspect of our range is that we formulate specifically for aging skin. The current self-tan market is prolific with boobs, bums, and bikinis, and more often than not it is about getting the darkest tan possible, this just isn’t what our consumers are after.
Our self-tanner is a confidence boost in a bottle that can be enjoyed by all ages and the ingredients that we use have been selected to support the skin as it ages and loses its elasticity through moisture loss. This is why we say it is a treatment and tan in one, first and foremost it nourishes the skin with vital moisture binding and protecting ingredients, secondly, it creates a beautiful natural colour that is achieved through the ingredients reacting with the outer layer of the skin.
We do not use colours or dyes to create the colour, it really is a natural process. One of our favourite things about this product is that it is also adaptable to each customer's skin type, it can be mixed with moisturiser if you want to lessen or maintain colour and you can mix it with our face oil if you have really dry skin.
We have a very compelling story delivered through our Brand, and these messages have never been more important or more resonating in this post-Covid re-set. Consumers today more than ever are actively questioning many things within their daily lives and so seeking out alternatives and different ways of doing things, and in turn empowering themselves to create a more meaningful way of life.
