The Bamboo Refining Polish from In Your Face Skincare has been an excellent addition to my routine this week. The first thing I noticed was the "eye dropper" style bottle - this is great because it prevents the need to dip my fingers into a jar or container which can contaminate the product, but it also helps to control the amount being used, as I know I have a tendency to use too much product with items like this. This scrub is super fine which makes it very gentle on your skin, and it's full of excellent ingredients. The list on the website even specifies what the different ingredients do and why they are added in case you're wondering why something was added - as someone who likes to look up the benefits of each ingredients this is a great addition. The main titular ingredient in this scrub, bamboo, helps rejuvenate and sooth skin, and promotes cell growth. It also contains aloe to help with dryness, green tea which is an antioxidant, and salicylic acid from Aspen Bark, a natural BHA exfoliant. The scrub has a light natural scent which comes from it's natural ingredients, but it doesn't linger around too long.
A fantastic and unique product! I loved the dropper bottle packaging to house a liquid suspension loaded with fine bamboo particles, kaolin clay, and rosehip seed and walnut powders. The addition of mild chemical exfoliation from aspen bark and salicylic acid was also great, and I love how it's tempered with soothing aloe vera, glycerin, and green tea to prevent irritation.
I love that this polish contains both salicylic acid and bamboo so it's both a chemical exfoliator but also a physical exfoliator. It also contains aloe vera and green tea to soothe and calm the skin. The applicator (a dropper style) can be a bit messy at times as I found it leaked out of the bottle if left on it's side.
