"I have been so curious about moisturizer/lotion bars and now I've had the chance! I was sent this one, Harmony, from Greentanica for the Cert Clean Clean Beauty Awards for review. In the past I have used a shampoo bar, and I currently use a conditioner bar, so this concept isn't new to me. But Something about the idea of rubbing a solid form of moisturizer on the body just seemed so strange to me. Here is what I can tell you from my experience: - It's not weird! Upon contact with the skin, the bar warms up and starts to soften. It begins to glide across the skin leaving behind a trail of the moisturizer. - It's easy to rub in. I tend to do a few stripes down each leg & arm and then rub it all in. And guess what? It rubs in just like a moisturizer normally does. - I use less product. Something about this delivery mechanism means I don't need as much product as if I were to scoop out a body butter from a jar or pump out moisturizer from a bottle. The result is well hrydrated skin, and a sense of calm from taking just a little bit more time to care for your body. The name of this product, Harmony, is perfect — I find the scent fo citrus and florals to be both relaxing and uplifting. A sort of spa like aroma. For me, the draw backs come in 2 forms: Sometimes I do just need something quick and this takes a little bit mroe time than a couple pumps of a body moisturizer the spreads super quickly. The other thing is that unless I am just out of the shower, I find that I need to move it more slowly across the skin for it to soften up enough & glide on smoothly. The last thing I want to mention is that this seems to be a more environmentally friendly option. A refill is available (and not messy), and the packaging can not only be reused, but is also biodegradable."
