Laura McCann’s love for Beauty, Fashion, and Wellness was the foundation of Adoratherapy.
“I have worked in Wellness, Beauty, Fashion and Technology. I am a serial entrepreneur, and have founded four businesses. I started my first business when I was 28 years old. I spent most of my career in New York city since graduating from Parsons School of Design. I am a Tory Burch Fellow and was so proud to have be the winner of a Western Woman Small Business award. I have worked in the consumer products industry for over thirty years.”
Unlike other perfumes being marketed, Adoratherapy is a creative fusion of Aromatherapy and Perfumery.
“My background in design, product development and sourcing has been a useful skill in designing our brand and packaging. I use my entrepreneurial background encompassing tech, sourcing, operations marketing and sales every day in my business. In many ways, because I came from the fashion side of consumer products and not beauty or wellness I saw an opportunity to create a brand that is bringing the art of aromatherapy and traditional perfumery together.”
Formulated by Certified Aromatherapist, Adoratherapy sets itself apart from other perfumes with its clean and safe formulations.
“Our formulas were developed by a certified aromatherapist who was also trained as an energy healer. I discovered the formulas and saw their potential and wanted to find a way to move them from the wellness shelf to the beauty shelf. Since we began we have moved from oil based perfumes to water based ones, and also candles and body care. I have partnered with experts to make sure our products are safe, therapeutic and smell great. I decided early on we would manufacture in house to maintain quality and keep our blends proprietary. My background in sourcing and manufacturing has allowed me to be as close to vertical as we can be.”

“Transformation is at the very heart of the ADORAtherapy mission. Founded upon the belief that Mother Earth’s abundant resources offer the ability to transform the human experience. I have always been focused on my personal development and transforming into the best version of myself which requires me to elevate my consciousness. This business has required me to overcome insurmountable obstacles. I continue to invest my time, money and energy into it because I see an opportunity to teach what I have learned to more people by making aromatherapy and chakra healing and balancing easier to understand.”

“When we started building the brand we had a chakra oil collection. No one understood it so we dumbed it down and changed the concept to mood boosting. When we pivoted to retail first and launched our store in Asheville North Carolina we opened an Aura photography studio. Our aura program shows guests their chakras in great detail. We finally had what we needed to get the chakra message across. We call the concept Auratherapy and we combine an aura reading with chakra balancing with our products. It has been phenomenally successful. We have developed many protocols and designed a store experience to build on that success. We hope to open more studios and stores soon.”

We chose that specific product for several reasons: Our water based formulation makes it breathable, but also safe and clean; The 1st Chakra is the root, and being grounded is key to the human experience. It's a beautiful earthy blend of patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood, ginger and other oils that smells divine and instantly puts you back into your body; The root is all about belonging and healing our trauma to be embodied. Isn't that a good enough reason?”
